The book, which is due for release later this month, also features Actresses Mary-Kate Olsen, Molly Sims, and 62-year-old Susan Sarandon have posed semi-nude in a series of racy 1940s-pinup poses that will be featured in a new book entitled Hollywood Pinups.

“I actually look forward to getting older - it is certainly better than the alternative - when looks should become less of an issue, and when who you are is the point,” says Sarandon, 62.

“I haven’t had any surgery, but I don’t knock it. I think that women, anyone, has the right to do anything that they like with their bodies if it makes them feel good about themselves.”

The historical guide written by Timothy White arrives on booksellers’ shelves later this month.

Kate Hudson is reportedly trying to reconcile with Owen Wilson. The ‘Fool’s Gold’ actress is said to have been bombarding the ‘Wedding Crashers’ star with phone calls since her split from cyclist Lance Armstrong last month, and although her old flame initially wasn’t interested, he is now considering rebuilding their relationship for a third time.

A source said: "He was frosty at first. He felt betrayed when she dumped him for his friend Lance. But after a while, he caved in and has been sweet to her.” The pair first dated in 2006 after meeting on the set of ‘You, Me and Dupree’.

Owen attempted suicide soon after their break-up in June 2007 after pictures emerged of Kate kissing new love Dax Shephard. They enjoyed a brief reconciliation earlier this year. Although the pair look set to rekindle their love, Owen’s friends are worried the comic star will have his heart broken again. The insider added to America’s Star magazine: “It's not fair to Owen, because he really cares for her and ends up getting hurt."

Kate Hudson doesn’t regret forsaking her partying years to have children. The 29-year-old actress – who has a four-year-old son Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson – insists she would much rather look after her child than go out drinking and dancing.

She said: “Am I going to look back and say, ‘God, I wish I could have gone to that concert?’ I’d rather be listening to my son sing songs. I’d rather be watching him sleep.”

Kate – who recently split from her cycling champion boyfriend Lance Armstrong – revealed she always ensures she and Ryder stay in touch with Black Crowes frontman Chris. She said: “Ryder and I iChat with Chris constantly. No matter what is going on in my life, relationship-wise, Chris takes absolute precedence. It’s important for Ryder to hear me say how wonderful Chris is, and how much Chris misses him.”

Despite having a series of failed relationships, including those with Owen Wilson and Dax Shepard, Kate admits she still holds out hope she will find her soulmate. She added to W magazine: “Every girl wants a fairy-tale ending. And I believe it’s possible. Absolutely.”

Given Kate Hudson's recent slew of romantic comedies ("Fool's Gold," "You, Me and Dupree," "Le Divorce," "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days"), it's easy to forget that she was nominated for an Oscar for her supporting role (Penny Lane) in Cameron Crowe's 2001 film, "Almost Famous."

So maybe it's not that shocking (well, no, actually it kinda is) that she'll join the Oscar-winning (and nominated) cast of Rob Marshall's musical, "Nine": Daniel Day-Lewis, Marion Cotillard, Nicole Kidman, Penélope Cruz, Judi Dench and Sophia Loren.

But what is surprising is that her role, that of a Vogue writer, wasn't in the original Broadway show, which was inspired by Frederico Fellini's autobiographical film, "8 ½."

What, Nicole, Penélope, Marion, Judi and Sophia weren't enough female star power? They needed Hudson because ….

"[Hudson's] revelatory skills as a singer and a dancer lead to the creation of the role," Marshall's statement, released yesterday, revealed. Really? Musta been a heckuva audition!

Kate Hudson has signed on to star alongside Nicole Kidman in the musical Nine. The 29-year-old star will now be playing the part of a fashion magazine reporter on assignment in Italy in the movie adaptation of the Tony-winning Broadway musical.

Directing her and Kidman in the flick will be Rob Marshall, who was all praise for Hudson's skills as a singer and dancer, calling them "revelatory", reports People.

Kate Hudson is set to start shooting for the pic in the UK in October this year. While she's currently been spending some quality time with new beau Lance Armstrong, co-star Nicole Kidman has been busy with new-born daughter Sunday Rose. Before starting work again, Kidman and hubby Keith Urban plan to take their new precious bundle home to Australia to meet her father and his parents.

Kate Hudson has given Fools Gold co-star and new Dad Matthew McConaughey her tips on parenting. McConaughey's Brazilian model girlfriend gave birth to Levi earlier this month. Kate Hudson said she is looking forward to speaking to McConaughey following the birth of his son.
